In Remembrance

There are two to wash; there are two to dry.
There are two to argue; there are two to cry.
One's in the mud having a ball......
The other holds a crayon,  just look at the wall.
Some days seem endless...my patience grows thin!
Why was I chosen to be the mother of twins?
The answer comes clear, at the end of each day
As I tuck them in bed, to myself I say
There are two to kiss...there are two to hug
And best of all...there are two to LOVE!!

Books

The following materials are available for MPOM members to check out from the Resource Library. Please contact the current Resource Librarian, Jessica Lahner.

Those children's books
Those children's books
I've not the time for all those books.

Would you like to see one book?
I'm sure you would, please take a look.
Just pick one off the shelf and see,
How very easy it can be.

I cannot read one, no sir-ee!
I've not the time for one, two or three.
Would you like to read one now?
Take the time, I'll show you how...

I can not take the time with you.
I've got a ton of chores to do.

We'll get some books and read you'll see.
We'll place your twins upon your knee.
Just take the time and you will see,
How really special it can be.

I'm afraid I've no time you see,
To take my twins upon my knee.
I cannot take the time, No sir-ee!
I cannot do it, please let me be!

You CAN do it, yes you can...
You can do it with a plan.
We'll plan a time to read you'll see...
We'll pick a time of day for thee...

Do NOT arrange a thing for me...
I've got laundry and chores can't you see?!
I can't arrange a time for me...
To sit my twins upon my knee.

You will not take the time you say?
Try once...just once and you just may.

Okay...if you will let me be,
I'll put my twins upon my knee.

Say...I LIKE these children's books,
Oh yes I do!
I think I'm on to something new.

I will make the time, you'll see, you'll see...
To put my twins upon my knee.
I could do this here and there.
I could do this anywhere.

I do not mind if laundry sits,
I need to build my children's wits.
Do encourage other please,
To put their children upon their knees.
Take the time to take a look.
And introduce them to a book.

I will not trade this time you see,
I need to put them on my knee.
I'll read and teach and show the way,
So they will read to me someday!
